UNWOMAN
UN Women is the United Nations agency devoted to women's empowerment and gender equality. Women continue to experience unequal social, economic, and political rights as well as patriarchal oppression globally. Their lives, dreams, and freedoms are constrained by societal norms, which prevents them from realizing their full potential. Men continue to dominate politics and higher-paying jobs in the workforce due to unequal access to opportunities. At SSALMUN, delegates goal will be to tackle these problems from the root and encourage sustainable change. Members of this committee will collaborate to create practical solutions that encourage and support more women to assume leadership roles in the political and professional spheres. We want to create a future that is more inclusive and equal for everyone by working together and putting forward compelling policy ideas.
UNODC
UNODC is the United Nations entity dedicated to combating the trafficking and abuse of illicit drugs, promoting crime prevention and criminal justice, countering international terrorism and political corruption. In the recent years the illicit trade of drugs has increased significantly. With there is being many reasons to the increase of drug trafficking one of the most significant is the use of dark web. The dark web is a content that exists on overlay networks that use the internet and needs configurations or authorization to access. With easier ways to access, criminals has stared using it more and more to keep their criminal records and identities anonymous. At SSALMUN delegates will find solutions to tackle this problem to make both the internet and the world a safer place.
HCC
This committee simulates the Soviet Crisis Management Board established in the aftermath of the explosion. Delegates are responsible for containing the disaster, stopping the spread of radiation, ensuring public safety, and dealing with international reactions. Delegates serving on the committee will include scientists, plant engineers, Soviet government officials, medics, and representatives of the KGB. Each delegate has their own role and responsibility. Some will investigate the technical causes of the disaster, others will address issues such as crisis management and evacuation of the population, while others will focus on preserving the Soviet Union's international reputation. As the crisis unfolds, delegates will be forced to make decisions on issues such as radiation levels, the explosion's impact on other reactors, evacuation of the population, press releases, and reactions from foreign countries. Each decision will impact both the lives of the people and the Soviet Union's success in crisis management.
WHO
WHO is a specialized agency of the United Nations which coordinates responses to international public health issues and emergencies. In the recent years with social media getting more popular day by day teenagers are being exposed to danger frequently. With social media having unreachable perfect standards that are changing by hour teenagers feel the need to keep up. When they can’t reach those standards they start developing insecurities and the feeling of emptiness starts taking over them. There is also topics that might come as sensitive to teenagers that they need to learn while being supervised. At SSALMUN delegates will collaborate to tackle this issue and find solutions. Members of this committee will find practical and easy to reach solutions for adolescents to reach for them to be heard and healed.
UNHRC
The UNHRC is the United Nations body tasked with advancing and defending human rights globally. Finding practical answers for those who are fighting to protect their rights in the face of wars, conflicts, and genocides is its aim. Because of Russia's continuous invasion, which has lasted for several years, people in Ukraine are currently unable to fully exercise their fundamental rights. Widespread humanitarian suffering and instability are being caused by the war's destructive and intense pace. As SSALMUN, we expect delegates to collaborate and bring peace to this continuous chaos. Our goals are to respect international law, aid in civilian protection, and promote diplomatic resolutions. Delegates will seek to develop resolutions that demonstrate empathy, fairness, and global responsibility via careful discussion and collaboration.
FCC
On a normal day in Shibuya people soon became frightened of the sight before their eyes. Right after many people stated that they saw fireworks, the electrical power went off and soon they became unconscious. When they woke up they were shocked to find out that they were still in Shibuya but there was no one around and it had became night time. They desperately looked around only to find nothing. When they were just about to give up they saw the light in the distance and then the billboards lit up. It said “GAME” with arrows pointing at the light.

As the crisis begins to unfold players will learn the truth behind the games, they will have to make choices, they will come down upon traps, there will be complications and consequences. Each decision will be a step towards the truth whether its good or not.
